adelman visited in a: Tesla Roadster (Good - Charged Successfully)
San Francisco,CA

I was an overnight guest at the Hyatt. Due to the length of my trip and tight schedule, I called a few days prior to let them know I'd need to use the charger. They warned me that it was the old-style "square" plug (meaning the old AVCON connector), so I brought my AVCON-14/50 EAA adapter box and my Tesla UMC. When I arrived I explained to the valet attendant what I needed, and he took below with the car to plug in. We found the ICS-200 with no power to it, and it took a 25 minute dance (25 minutes that I didn't have) to get their engineering people to come down and turn it on. It worked out for me, but if the Hyatt is serious, they need to upgrade this to a J1772 charger and leave it powered-up and available for their customers that need it. The valet also indicated that they have a few standard 110V plugs available, and some people plug into them. I didn't have my Tesla 110V cord, or else I would have resorted to that. Either way, I did charge, but I would recommend allowing 30 minutes in your schedule to get plugged in.
