01. Using the Recargo services > Okay I found the charging site I was looking for. Now What?

Well that was easy, wasn’t it? Okay now you need to look at the Site Detail Page by clicking on either the name of the charging site, or the “More Info” link. There are three types of information on this page: General site information, Charger information, Photographs, and Check Ins.

General Site information

This includes the static information regarding a site like the address, the hours of operation and the fees, if any. In general, the General site information never changes. There is also a spot for miscellaneous information that may be helpful to future visitors.

Charger Information

This tells you what kinds of chargers are at this location and how many of each is there. It’s good to check this section before visiting any charging site. The “Geek Out” part of this section will give you details about each charger at the site. You can see how long it took other people to charge their vehicles as well as the actual kilowatts per hour that each charger achieved.

Photographs

Somebody may have snapped a few photographs at the charging site and uploaded them to Recargo.com. These are much more than just pretty pictures. Many times, it is difficult to find a charger at a given charging site when all you have is the street address. Chargers are often tucked away in dark corners of parking garages with little, no, or inaccurate signage. Photos literally can give you a picture of what you are looking for.

Check Ins

Check Ins are one of the most important features of the Recargo web service. It is easy to find a charging station on a map several other websites can do that. Recargo is different. We allow EV drivers everywhere to report on how well the site worked for them. This becomes a continuous narrative for each charging site, and it will allow you to get a sense of what kind of experience you can expect at each site.

Check Ins provide the most up-to-date and insightful information about the site. They tell the site’s story. So it is important to contribute reports whenever you visit a site.
